Q. How can I contact a librarian?

Answer

Librarians can be contacted a few ways:

In person: Librarians are available in the Learning Commons at several branches on a regular basis. You can get librarian help in person at any campus, regardless of where you take your classes.

  • Marple (hours: M-Th: 8am-8pm / F: 8am-4pm)
  • Exton
  • Downingtown
  • Southeast
  • Upper Darby

Call branch campus Learning Commons for librarian schedules

Call: When class is in session, librarians can be reached in the Marple Learning Common's at (610) 359-5149. Ask to speak with a librarian, and you'll be connected.

Chat: Throughout the Library Services website, you'll see a chat box that says "Ask us!" Just type your name and your question and we'll chat back with an answer. When we're not available your question will go into a queue, and we'll email the answer as soon as possible.

You can also chat using Ask Here PA, a 24/7 chat service you can use to connect with a real live research expert any time of the day or night, any day of the year. Most of the librarians on this service do not work for DCCC, but they have the necessary training to help with general research and citation questions. Look for the Ask Here PA logo at the bottom right of the library services webpage, or get started here.
