Answer
An annotated bibliography is a list of sources on a research topic or question. Each source is followed by an annotation—a short paragraph that explains or evaluates the source. Your professor will tell you exactly what to include in your annotation.
Each entry has two parts:
- Citation – Written in MLA format. The first line starts at the left margin, and any additional lines are indented by 0.5 inches. (This is called a hanging indent, and there's a quick way to format it.)
- Annotation – A paragraph that is indented one full inch from the left margin. The whole paragraph is indented, not just the first line.
