How do I instruct students to self-enroll in library tutorials in Canvas?

Answer

Four library tutorials are available as Canvas courses. If you assign one of these tutorials to your students, they must self-enroll in the course to access the content.

Self-enrollment is easy. Instructions are available in another FAQ, and as a PDF file (attached below). 

You can also import a small module with self-enrollment instructions into your Canvas Course from the Canvas Commons. Here's how: 

  1. Search the Canvas Commons for Library Services.
  2. Filter to modules from Delaware County Community College. Finding self-enrollment instructions in Canvas Commons
  3.  Click on the title and follow the prompts to import it into your Canvas course.

Self enrollment in Canvas courses is required for the following tutorials:

  • Research Fundamentals
  • English 112: Literature Research
  • Copyright & Intellectual Property
  • Plagiarism
