No, you don’t need to start a Badgr Backpack if you are submitting your badge for course credit at DCCC.
As long as you are enrolled at DCCC, you will be able to access your tutorial badges in Canvas.
But if you would like to be able to use your badge outside of DCCC or after you’ve graduated, then yes, you will need to start a Badgr Backpack.
Make sure to use your dccc email address to start the account so you can get your badges issued from DCCC. Once you've got the account, you can change your email address or add an additional email address in your profile.
A Badgr Backpack is optional, but it’s a good idea to start one, just in case you might want it in the future.
