Answer
A digital badge is an icon that verifies an accomplishment. When you receive one you can use it on social media, an e-portfolio, online resumes, job applications, etc. to show your skills and achievements. Unlike a college transcript or diploma, a badge can be awarded for small accomplishments, like taking an online tutorial, mastering a job skill, offering a service, and much more.
When you receive a badge you will be given a unique, shareable code. When you share the code, anyone can see your badge with your name or email address and the details of your accomplishment.
Library Services offers badges to students who complete its tutorials in Canvas or take a series of workshops. Many DCCC instructors give points to students who submit their Library Services badges.

When you leave DCCC, you keep your badges. Many organizations and institutions offer badges, and you can keep your collection organized by starting a Badgr Backpack.
A Badgr Backpack is optional, but it’s a good idea to start one, just in case you might want it in the future.
